Selena’s POV Alex will pick me up at Serena's house, so I rode a taxi to get there before he comes. My mind was still clouded by the argument I just had with Lilith, and the more I think about it the more I feel so angry. I just realized. Why did she have to intervene with our lives? She’s not involved with this in the first place. She shouldn’t touch even the slightest detail of my personal life. And she can’t even reason out that she’s concerned about Alex because we both know that that was not her reason. “Thanks,” I said to the driver of the taxi before I got out of the car. I turned to enter the gate of Serena’s house, but I paused when I saw a familiar car parked in front of the gate. My lips parted and my heart skipped a beat. He’s already here. I swallowed hard and immediately entered the gate. I stopped at the front door and bit my bottom lip when I heard voices. “There was no clue at all? No lead?” It was Tyler’s voice, and I’m certain he’s talking to Alex. “No.” Alex sighed.
