Natalie liked the color of the dress, for it reminded her of roses. As for the size, the measurements were a perfect fit for her. It was a fitted dress, and the design was more suited to younger people. It didn't look like the sort of clothing Matilda would usually wear at all.
Why would Lucian buy a dress like that for his mother? Natalie wondered.
No wonder Matilda couldn't wear it. She probably asked Lucian to return it too.
After exiting the bathroom, Natalie could hear the hum of a hair dryer in the room.
Lucian was sitting by the bed, drying Sarah's hair. Sarah was a lively girl, and she was laughing and playing with him.
"Come on, stop moving. I'll be done in a bit," Lucian said.
"Luc, do you even know how to dry hair? My hair is all messed up now." Sarah shook her head. Her long black hair stuck out in every direction.
"Let me do it." Natalie walked over to Lucian and held out her hand.
Turning off the hair dryer, Lucian looked up and stared at Natalie.
