Daimon didn’t bother to answer. Instead, he brushed past Ertha and rolled Enlyan’s wheelchair toward the bathroom.
"Everything you need is here. If you need any help, just call Auntie Kira."
Enlyan nodded. "Got it," she replied quickly, washing her hands.
Meanwhile, Daimon scooped up Jessica and carried her to the sink. "Come here, let’s wash your hands properly."
Jessica giggled as he gently rubbed her tiny hands under the warm water.
Enlyan, drying her hands with a towel, found herself pausing to watch them. It was a rare sight—Daimon, usually cold and distant, was handling Jessica with such care. For a brief moment, something in her heart wavered.
But just as quickly as the thought came, she pushed it away. Daimon’s tenderness was fleeting. She knew better than to be fooled by it.
Once Jessica’s hands were clean, Daimon carried her back to the dining table, setting her down in her chair. Enlyan followed in her wheelchair, her expression unreadable as she observed the scene.
