Ertha sighed and stepped into the restaurant, feeling awkward under the curious gazes of the morning crowd. He walked up to Elyana and placed a soft blanket on the back of her chair.
“Mr. Blackwood noticed you were cold,” he said plainly. “The morning breeze is chilly, and he didn’t want your leg getting worse. So… he sent this.”
His tone wasn’t exactly warm—more like he was delivering a message he didn’t agree with. Both Elyana and Arden were caught off guard. They instinctively looked toward the window, just in time to catch a glimpse of Daimon pulling the tinted glass up in his car parked outside.
Arden chuckled, clearly amused. “Wow, Iris. The infamous Daimon Blackwood sent you a blanket? The same guy who doesn’t even flinch when others freeze around him? That’s... impressive.”
He smirked and leaned back in his chair. “And even more shocking—he didn’t storm in here to drag you away when he saw you sitting with me. That’s not the Daimon I remember.”
