Elayna slid down against the door, her body trembling as she struggled to gather herself. The weight of everything that had just happened pressed down on her, leaving her momentarily lost in thought.
Then, her phone rang.
The name on the screen made her finally smile.
"Austin," she answered in a softer voice, warmth slipping into her tone.
Austin White—the man who had saved her five years ago. The man who had given her a new identity, a new life.
