Chapter 97
Isabella’s POV
The raging sound of my heartbeat was louder than the whispers of pain and disappointment as I looked at the evidence connecting Mr. Sanchez to the sudden death of my parents.
I can barely remember what my parents’ voice sounded like because I lost them when I was as young as five. As a child, I believed the adults’ words. I believed their intentions. I believed Damon’s father.
“There’s no statute of limitation for this kind of crime, Miss Clarkson. So as long as we have the evidence, we can file a case against Mr. Sanchez and his wife for concealing the crime. She’s basically an accomplice.”
I didn’t answer and just put the documents and pictures back in the folder. Pictures of the accident. Autopsy report. Death certificates.
I never imagined seeing these kinds of documents. It angers me more than it pains me. I couldn’t accept that my parents death was this unfair.
“Thanks, Attorney. I need to go.”
