Chapter 334
“Medication…” Ronald Wright narrowed his eyes halfway, fingers tapping rhythmically, looking pensive and unreadable.
“Is there still a chance she’ll regain her memory?” he asked.
The doctor answered, “It’s hard to be sure. Since we don’t know what caused it, it might stay like this forever… or, maybe she’ll suddenly remember things one day.”

It got late, and on top of that, it started pouring heavily. Not exactly ideal driving conditions.
Getting back home would take at least six hours, and considering I drifted down the river for a whole day and night, we’d gone way too far. Paul Allen said we’d stay the night in the village, and of course, I stayed too.
No one asked me to pay the hospital bills when I was discharged—just took a few vials of my blood, probably for some tests or whatever.
I didn’t really care.
