I shook my head. "No idea. He said he wants to tell me on the highest stage. I already said yes."
My uncle laughed right away, "That kid’s got ambition. I believe he’ll win. People with a goal always give it their all."
I thought so too and nodded hard. "Yeah!"
Ronald’s lips curled, just a bit, but the smile vanished before it even formed. His lips pressed together tightly, and his eyes grew darker.
My uncle was fine. When I asked him about last night, he mumbled a bit, probably too embarrassed to say much. I didn’t press him and rushed home to deal with Mom’s belongings.
