Chapter 82
On the way back to the hotel, Miranda stopped by a pharmacy and bought some medication to treat Samuel's injury.
He acted like he was in terrible pain, but he had to fight to keep himself from grinning. He couldn't let the person in front of him see how happy he actually was.
Cynthia couldn't even bear the sight anymore.
"He was seriously scary today. Has he ever hit you before?" Samuel asked.
"No. Don't overthink it," Miranda replied.
"He was just so aggressive, and it freaked me out."
"I'm sorry you got dragged into all this."
"Don't say that. Even if I saw a total stranger being dragged around like that on the street, I'd still step in. So don't feel bad." Samuel comforted her.
Miranda gave a faint smile. He was a considerate kid.
"You should start bringing me along wherever you go. I'm worried he'll hurt you," he suggested.
Cynthia rolled her eyes at his words. This guy was just too scheming!
"I can handle it myself." Miranda shook her head, and Samuel didn't press f
