Chapter 183
The office felt like home but I had to leave. For once in ten years, I felt my parent’s presence. I got to see their things, read their last messages. It pained my heart and made me relieved at the same time because I was getting a chance to finally learn something about them.
They left abruptly. I had no time to say my goodbyes. I couldn’t believe that I finally fumbled on their last words in my quest for the truth of their death.
Everybody ignored me. No one held my hands to comfort me and as soon as my parents were buried, they all disappeared with no explanation. They left me in the dark without knowing what happened. The only feeling in my heart was that I didn’t deserve to live while they were dead.
The gravity of what I have just discovered couldn’t let me be in peace. I kept repeating it in my head that Adrian was innocent and I had wrongly accused him.
