Chapter 23 At Death's Door
Loria's words made Nicole so angry that she almost knocked over the bowl. She was not reconciled but swallowed the anger out of pride.
But Loria didn't care about her at all. Seeing the shrimp piling up, she gave them to Colby.
"I'm good. Don't only think about me. Take them." She smiled sweetly.
Although Colby knew she did it on purpose to let Nicole see, he was cooperative and became gentler, saying, "Then have some juice." He poured Loria another half a glass.
"Thank you," Loria said, curling her red lips slightly.
The two were in harmony, but Nicole had a dark face. She kept bearing it but finally couldn't help it. She put down the tableware heavily and stood up abruptly.
"Colby, I don't feel well. Enjoy yourselves." Then she looked at Colby, expecting him to care about her.
