Aaron’s POV
“Hey, Liv, wait up!” I called out to her as she hurried down the hallway of the fourth floor.
She was fast, too fast.
By the time I reached the elevator, I caught only a fleeting glimpse of her slipping into the stairwell before I had the chance to get in with her.
I wished I knew why she is being so persistent in breaking off our engagement. Men cheat all the time.
All the time? My conscience pricked at me a bit.
Okay, I know it was to the extreme to cheat on the eve of our wedding, but Viv was like a skilled seductress.
Passing blame now?
“Damn it!" I cursed silently and made my way through the flight of stairs, clearly ignoring the pointed looks and whispers from the staff I brushed by.
The sunlight hit me like a slap when I burst into the open lot, squinting against the glare as I scanned the rows of cars.
