Kaelon’s POV I leaned back in my chair, the mahogany surface of the conference table cold against my palms. The boardroom buzzed with the usual chatter, the hum of voices blending into a background noise I had long grown accustomed to. I had a meeting with the board members concerning the new fashion line we were venturing into. Nothing out of the ordinary. Discussions about the fashion line were the usual agenda, but there was an undercurrent of something else today. I could feel it. “We had sent in a notice to the intern, Liv Benett. We trust that she is going to be able to come up with something very beautiful, sellable and unique.” Misa Linda, the project manager for the new fashion line spoke. The designs she’d been working on were now a topic of conversation in this room, and it was clear that the board had high expectations. “I have just sent word to invite Liv to this meeting so she can present whatever she comes up with. I hope that sounds perfect, President Kaelon.”” Mr. Davi
