Work at Snee Group had piled up, so Caesar had no choice but to go back and deal with it.
On the third day of Caesar's absence, Jasmine stood at the floor-to-ceiling windows, watching as the last sliver of sunlight sank beneath the horizon.
The housekeeper came in quietly and set down a cup of warm milk. "Mrs. Snee, please have at least a little."
Jasmine didn't move. She just asked, "When is he coming back?"
"Mr. Snee said once he's finished with work—"
Crash!
The glass shattered against the wall, milk splattering everywhere.
"I'm not Mrs. Snee. Get out." Jasmine let out a cold laugh.
Startled, the housekeeper hurried out in a panic.
Jasmine bent down and picked up the sharpest shard of glass.
