Ezra laughs, shaking his head.
"Well, I shall leave you two lovebirds, oh and by the way, I hope you haven't got chapped lips because there is no Vaseline left, and if you go into my room, don't touch the socks, or tissues on the floor,” he warns, shutting the door and walking back out.
"See perfectly fine, so stress less," Ezra says, tugging me onto his chest.
"Is Maddox mad?" I ask with a shiver, tracing my finger over the scar on his chest.
"No, he seems different," Ezra says, and I watch his brows furrow.
"How so?"
"Calmer, it's hard to explain.” He shakes his head with a shrug and gives me a wane smile. "Kora?"
"Asleep, I can hear her thunderous snoring in my head, it's like a freight train," I groan, and he nods, pressing his lips in a line, worry lacing his face.
"I saw your mother last night,” he admits, and I jerk to attention, worry eating me. "She is fine, she took on Nicolas and Andrei and—"
"And what?" I ask nervously, wondering if Maddox hurt her.
