

Chapter 6





'What happened? was it not just to pick a bride?"





Rohan asked Linda as he helped her pull off her shoes.





Linda was so tired of the whole thing, she wasn't even able to tell him what happened.





'Rohan, I am so tired of everything, my life is like a whole bunch of issues. It's like when I am trying to come out of one trouble I end up meeting something much worse" Linda said in a depressed way.





Linda tried her best not to cry but she couldn't hold it anymore. She felt she was in a total mess and no one could save her out of it. Rohan noticed the tear rolling down from Linda cheeks, he stopped what he was doing and went to wipe away the tears .





'What is wrong? Did anything happen over there?" Rohan said in a calm tone.

Chapter 7





'Take this f*cking bastard out of my site" Alpha Lucas commanded.





Before now he had ordered a particular guard to send some items to one of his VIP friends but the guard failed to do as he had said, which made him so angry.





'Make sure you lock him up for days without serving him any food. Neither will you give him water to drink and wait for further instructions from me. If I hear anything otherwise you all will be punished severely" Alpha Lucas scolded his guards as he walked out angrily.





The guards were frightened by the words of the Alpha, he made it clear to them that there must be no mistakes. They carried the guard and locked him up immediately as instructed by Alpha Lucas.

Alpha Lucas was in his office going through some files when he had a knock at the door. He heard it but didn't reply, the person kept on knock for a while before he shoute

'We are here to take you along with us as instructed by the Alpha"





One of the Elders came closer and said to Linda with his bowed low.





Linda was so nervous and confused, she was still trying to process everything in her head, wondering why any Alpha would want her to be his mate not to even talk of being a mate to an Alpha like Alpha Lucas.





One of the Elders signaled the guards and two of the guards came forward. The two guards came closer to Linda but Linda kept on moving back.





'Don't come closer, don't touch me, I can't be the new mate to the Alpha" she said as she saw the guards approaching her with a little drop of tear rolling down her cheeks.





The guards grabbed her hand and took her to the Alpha. Linda began to cry.





'Please let me go, I have a boyfriend," she said while tearing up in a shaking tone





The candidate who walked in with two bodyguards stood up, walked closer to the Alpha and said to him in a loud tone;





'Alpha Lucas please pick me, I am prettier, smarter and more suitable to be your mate" with so much confidence.





The Alpha and all invited guests turned and faced the candidate, they were very surprised to see a girl so brave, brave enough to talk to Alpha Lucas. Linda paused for a while. There were a few seconds of silence. Before Alpha Lucas broke the silence





'Who the hell are you to tell me what to do?" He asked in a very aggressive manner.





Everyone in the hall was very surprised to see how Alpha Lucas shouted. Two of Alpha Lucas guards quickly ran to meet the girl and dragged her out of the hall.





'Please forgive me Alpha Lucas, I only said that because I love you so much" she cried out as Alpha Jones guards threw her out of the hall.





The Elders and guards sat Linda on the chair beside Alpha Lucas which was meant for his mate. Linda's legs were vibrating with her hands tightly joined together as she lowered her head. She couldn't even say a word because she was scared. She kept on saying to herself





' I am really a cursed child, I have been cursed from birth."





Alpha Linda didn't even look at her side, he kept on seeping from the wine on his table and pressing his phone.





It was time for the Alpha and his new mate to take a walk round the hall, so the Elders and all those that were present in the hall could see her before going back home in preparation for her wedding.





The Alpha stood up, adjusted his suit a bit as he gave his new mate his hand. Linda, who couldn't raise her head, saw his hand and was confused and surprised.





'What am I supposed to do now, should I hold his hand or what? What if I hold it and he yells at me?" Or maybe he's trying to tell me to raise my head and smile? She asked herself, with her head still lowered to the ground.





Alpha Lucas was becoming impatient, his hand had been hanging in the air for a while now and Linda didn't want to hold it. He was about to raise his voice at her then he turned side and saw his Nana so happy with a very cute smile on her face. Alpha Lucas immediately changed his mind because he knew that if his yelled at Linda, Nana won't be happy with that and he didn't want to see her unhappy so he turned to Linda and said to her;





'Can we have a walk together" with his head lowered in a calm and loving tone.





'As you wish Sir" Linda said with a confused look on her face in a shaking tone.





Nana was very happy to see Alpha Lucas show some respect to his new mate and wish he could remain like this forever. Nana has always taught Alpha Lucas how to love but he would always say to her 'I have no time for that f*cking word called love". Any time he said this she would always feel like she failed in the aspect of being his grandmother and it always made her cry.





Alpha Lucas took a walk round the hall, it was a tradition that needed to be done immediately the Alpha picked his bride. It was a way of making his subordinates see his new mate before they pick a date for the wedding.





'Wow she so pretty" they murmured as they saw Linda closer





'She looks so much like an angel in the sky," some said in a loud tone.





Alpha Lucas was almost done when an Elder from afar gave him a single and immediately he left Linda and went back to his seat to ask the Elder what the problem was.





'What is wrong?" He ask in an authoritative tone





'I just received a message from one of the guards, he said the girl whom you told them to lock up in the room a few days ago, is banging the door and screaming for help, saying you kidnapped her" the Elder reported to Alpha Lucas.





'Did you ask them what her exact words were? Alpha Lucas asked the elder.





'Yes Sir" the Elder answered Alpha Lucas as he signaled the guards who reported to him to come and repeat what the girl said in front of the Alpha.





'What were her exact words?" Alpha Lucas asked the guard angrily.





'I came to see the Alpha because he asked me to, as I got there he was already angry due to something else but he decided to unleash it on me and told them to lock me up for nothing, help me!! Please save me!!!" The guards mimicked the girl in front of Alpha Lucas .





'Kill her" Alpha Lucas ordered the guards after hearing from the guard.





Linda who just got back to her seat after few seconds of standing waiting patiently for Alpha Lucas overheard the whole conversation between Alpha Lucas and the Elder, she was really shocked to hear Alpha Lucas's 'judgement. She had always heard he was a man of no mercy but she had never witnessed it before.





Linda legs were vibrating her hands were wet due to the heat and tension at the moment and tightly joined together

'Are you okay? Do you need anything?" An Elder who stood very close to Linda asked her after seeing her tensed.





'I am okay thank you" Linda answered as a smilie managed to escape her face in a very low tone.





The ceremony ended and those who came to withness it, the VIPs who also came from afar were all going home.





Nana came to me Linda, gave a big smile and hugged her.





'Welcome to the family" she said to Linda in a sweet and loving tone.





Linda managed to pop out a cute smile despite the tension.





'Thank you Ma" she responded.





Linda began to think who the woman would be regarding the way Alpha Lucas greeted her and also why the woman would be the one to welcome her to the family as she saw the woman greet the VIPs guests. She had always known that Alpha Lucas lost his parents at a very tender age and there was no relative of his in his records or maybe she was the one who never came across or overheard it.





'If you will need my help in anyway don't hesitate to tell me okay" Nana said to both Alpha Lucas and Linda with a cute smile on her face holding both hands in a motherly tone.





They both gave a cute smile as the responded.





'Yes we will" in a calm tone as they both turned and looked at each other.





Linda looked away as soon as she noticed the Alpha was also looking at her.





According to their customs and tradition, Linda is suppose to go home, while the Alpha and his Elders prepare a date for their wedding to take place. During this period Linda is to be recognized and respected anywhere she go because as the Alpha bride.





'Take this along without you, my Elders will pass the information on the date of our wedding ceremony to you in due time" Alpha Lucas said to Linda handing her an envelope filled with money as he stood up and exited the hall.



Linda was surprised to see the bunch of money Alpha Lucas dropped in her hands. But she wasn't still happy because she felt she was about to enter the hands of a rootless Alpha.





'My daughter" Nana said to Linda as she tapped her on her shoulder.





Linda who was already deep in thought was shocked as she noticed the tap on her hand. She stood up from her chair and bowed her head.





'Yes Ma" she answered the woman in an intensed tone.





'Alpha Lucas is a good person if you get to know him better I promise, I know how people picture him to be is different from what am saying now but I assure you when you get to know him better you will love him"





Nana said to Linda with a cute smile on her face in a lovely tone.





Linda could not say a word she could only pop out a smile ones or twice. She looked at the woman closely and noticed she looked like the late Alpha who's picture was hanged on the wall in front of the hall.





They both exited the hall together.





'I had a very long day today, i don't know which one to place my head on"





Linda said to her boyfriend Rohan when got back home as she tried to get her balance on the chair she was sitting on.
