Chapter 7 Waiting

Find me in your heart Alessia Cora s point of view Pain. I ve been very familiar with that word. Pain is a word that most of us hate even when experienced in life. This is a crucial element that we feel. When we are hurt physically or mentally, we usually fall and cry because of a slight illness at a very young age. the more we experience it, the stronger we become in the future. Physical pain we feel on the outside. . . It is temporary, and we learn from it. The inside called Mental Pain can last even a whole year and still keeps us thinking. Yes, we experience it in life at a young age, like interacting with your girlfriend, friends, family, or even local people. The pain leads some people to reach their goals because of the hardship of life they have gone through. While teens complain about how their relationship is conducted poorly, adults spend their time wondering how to invest their money in their children. For adults, it is a colossal pain. When their children fail, it does not show them the hope to continue spending, and it frustrates them all causes the pain. Pain is an eternal feeling that we cannot change even if we want to. We will be told good or bad. They say so of those who have gone through the most pain who genuinely know what joy is. Many people go through struggles and illnesses at more than one point in their lives. For some people, it takes longer than others. However, everyone must suffer some form of pain and must struggle at some point in their lives to truly experience joy and happiness. Joy cannot exist without pain because pain makes you grateful for joy. You have to endure pain, and pain and joy are some of the essential things in life. When one has gone through pain and difficult times in their life and things have healed, they realize that they have gained joy and appreciate this satisfying feeling. I know, I should believe that one day, something good finally happened. No matter how hard things get, it s just one obstacle we have to fight in life. They said that we would be blessed with joy after the pain that comes to us after this. Once things get better, don t make it fun about it, but be thankful for those times. Believe it or not, a pleased person goes through a lot of pain. People who go through a difficult time value joy more because they know how important happiness is. It proves that even when bad things hurt us and weaken us, there is always something to bring us out. We will be rewarded with joy at some point; we just have to be patient. Joy cannot exist without pain because pain happens to everyone, and happiness is more valued in people with the most struggle. Unfortunately, some people don t appreciate the redeeming things that happen to them. Their life becomes just a cycle of suffering. don t mistake throwing away happiness because it may not last long. When things are healed, take advantage of those days and live life to the fullest. Life is what you do, so whether you re talking about bad times or living the amazing life, always keep your head up and continue on this journey of life. People who take each day to come and appreciate the useful time will have a better life. Other people who still regret the past and being sad are not set what it is about living. the disease will affect you for the rest of your life, whether you are the richest or the poorest person. If something good happens to you, make the most of it and move on from the past. For now, I know that I need to strive for everything in life. Otherwise, I will not get anywhere. But it was such a difficult journey. It was a long time ago when I accepted the fact that sometimes, things don t get better because we don t want to try to make things better. After all those thoughts, I had no appetite to sigh on the little bench I was sitting on. I no longer have an appetite for anything else that can be done. It s as if there will be just a little misfortune again that I m going to give up the plan, and I m going to raise a white flag. I applied compact powder around the eyes a few times, but it still didn t hide my deep, black eye bags. I feel bad about it, so I shouldn t let this happen. I don t have to let it repeat every night I ve had for the past five years. My life is different now. I need to have a rest because of work, and I need to eat to have energy each day. I shouldn t be that stubborn Eilythia like before, who doesn t eat and sleep for days. If I ever need to prescribe sleeping pills, I won t hesitate to do that. Zoe s mind seemed to be flying in emptiness when I got to the office, so instead of teasing her such things, I let her go first. "Engineer. . ." Over time, I would only look more miserable if I couldn t separate work and personal life. I sighed a few times and then accepted a few papers that Engineer Diony seemed to have made sure that the files were in order to give good points to Mr. Antonio Hernandez. "You re the only one I trust the most here, Eilythia," the man whispered to me with a laugh. "I ll pretend I didn t hear that, Engineer," Tom interjected. Engineer Dionysus kept laughing. "I even need to meet with some board members of H&H. You know, we can get a few more projects. . . that will be a big help too." Even with a broken heart, I made it back to my own desk first and straightened up. I tried to get the attention of my friend, who was still silent. "I am fine, Alessia. I just didn t sleep much," she said. I was immediately alarmed because I knew she was not the lucky person to find time to sleep. This woman is always asleep, eh! "We ll talk later, okay? I need to go to H&H first. I need to find Mr. Antonio Hernandez for some files." I couldn t help but roll my eyes. "Aren t e-mails available today, and are these important papers still being handed over in person?" I immediately took a deep breath as Zoe quickly stood up. She doesn t look so fine, and that s what I m most worried about. "Where are you going?" She blurted immediately even I stared at the woman before answering. Somehow, I felt strange. "What is happening, Zoe?" "I. . . I won t let you. I should be the one who will go there. I ll tell Engineer Dionysus to just leave those papers–" "You will come with me to the meeting, Zoe. Alessia can handle that," Engineer Dionysus suddenly groaned. I was shaken by that several times before I saw the woman pulling me unconsciously towards the office s bathroom. I did nothing but follow. "Now, talk," I whispered when we got there. I even crossed my arms across my chest. "What happened yesterday? Did your mom force you to do something worst again?" I preceded the woman in asking because I knew it would be difficult for her to find the first word to say. But whatever it is, I know it is not good. The woman is not showy, but it is definitely a big deal when there are thoughts that affect her physical well-being. "Y-Yes. . . that man. . . the man I met yesterday, he s a jerk. But this wasn t about that man!" I laughed, waiting for what she would say next. During our time together, I have already calculated the friend s actions. I know if something else is bothering her mind. "Fine, you go there. But then, you will see Asher," she said honestly. "That s why I want to go. You don t even have to see that man anymore. He has nothing to contribute to your life but pain." What was on my mind was right, so my laughter got louder. As time went on, the Zoe remained the same — strict. "So, what, are you ready?" I turned again to the woman who still couldn t stop scratching her ear. This is so unlike her. I m laughing here because we ve been together for a long time, only now I found out that the woman has this side. I couldn t stop laughing. "What s with you?" I asked the woman again, changing the subject. We were back at our respective desks, and Engineer Dionysus was no longer in the area. "Are you in love?" I sighed. It s not bad to fall in love. I only worry about myself because I will definitely restrict whoever dares to woo my friend. Zoe is way too perfect for any guy. As long as I m with her, I m sure no one should make a move here, not unless I see any well and sober man. "Who s the guy? Schedule a meeting, okay," I said quickly, smiling. "Ah-ha?" Still, she is not in her right mind. "I m not in love, Alessia! You know that doesn t seem to apply to me anymore. It seems like everything I like, if not fuckboy, taken, they already like—" "Like what?" "They also like men." We spoke at the same time in the end, but I didn t seem to be contented. "Eh, why are you acting like that?" "Just let me do it, Alessia, please?" She exclaimed. "I won t let you see that Felix ever again!" I was about to ignite her annoyance when Engineer Dionysus called me to go. In the end, the woman did nothing else but sigh. It is Antonio Felix who I am meeting so I don t have to struggle to think about what could happen. Several times, I convinced myself that I would not find the man I hated there, but I was disappointed. I looked around when I got to the place. Nor will it really lose the very first hotel they have built in a few other huge buildings in the city. This isn t the first time I ve been to the place, but I still can t help but be amazed. Upon entering, a male staff member immediately greeted me, guided me to the floor where I think Antonio Felix is. I was holding a few papers in my hand for the next project. I looked more straightforward and didn t look around. Maybe I ll turn to an insect that I shouldn t see. An insect that will definitely ruin my morning. What I have to do is easy. I ll just put it on Antonio Felix s desk, then climb up and go back to the office. I should not overthink all of these. "This is the office of Mr. Felix," the staff informed me politely. I wasted no time and immediately thanked him. I sighed a few more times before entering the place. I could still remember the aura of the older Felix from the conference meeting, so I still can t help but tremble and feel nervous. I slowly opened that office door and prepared for a wide smile as I turned to the man standing there. Like me, he also had a big grin when he turned to me. "I told you, you don t have to go, Ash." Surprised to see Asher, I quickly backed away and went out, then slammed the door shut. It was too late for me to think about what have I done. "Alessia. . ." Asher said when he opened the door again. His face was full of worry, and his hair was still messy.
