The blade moved with precision, carving through the apple's surface in a perfect spiral. Once he finished, he casually lifted the peel and tossed it into the trash. Without raising his gaze, he sliced the apple into even pieces. After skewering each slice with a toothpick, he placed them into a bowl and set it down in front of Rosalie. "Why are you looking at me like that? I'm not that petty. You can do whatever you want," he said, his tone devoid of emotion. Rosalie pursed her lips. After grabbing a slice of the apple, she popped it into her mouth. In her mind, she couldn't stop grumbling. Because of Lucian, Julian had once ignored her texts and given her the cold shoulder.
