

The questioning continued, Anna wanted to know the truth.


“I saw you or have you forgotten you are an influential person? Everywhere you go, the TV will broadcast it. Now tell me, do you like Janet that much to lie to me and make the doctors lie as well?” He didn't like her tone.


“I see you have forgotten who the head of this house is. I do whatever I please and you don't question me! Do you understand?”' He was mad. To him, Anna had disrespected him by asking about his whereabouts and needed to be taught a lesson but Anna on the other hand was tired and didn't care what was going to happen to her that day.


It was not the first time he had lied about his whereabouts only to end up at Janet's house and though she had pretended not to know her back at the hospital, Anna knew her so well but they had not met face to face. She only heard from maids discussing her and her husband and 



When Anna got to the room, her mind was filled with painful reality and she couldn't sleep.


Minutes lasted for hours and the night was as long as a year. Finally, it was morning, and one of the maids was there to serve her breakfast. It was not because she enjoyed working for her, not at all. If it was up to her she would ask Steve to bring Janet and throw Anna out of the house.


“Here is your breakfast. You better hurry and take it before I dispose of it!” There was something in her tone. She despised her wholly.


“I get that you don’t like me but you don't have to be so rude, Teresa. Your name doesn't represent such attitudes. You should be a kind-hearted person!” She tried to change the atmosphere upon realizing that Teresa wasn't interested in getting along with her.


“I will be back after an hour, you better hurry up!” She said and then left the room.

On her way to the hospital’s main gate, all Anna could think of was the fact that she had been living a lie. How Steve had managed to make a fool out of her was something she couldn't understand.


It was all in the open from coming back home late and being moody, to the perfume, and the lack of attention. It all pointed to one thing; cheating!


Before she got to the gate, she remembered she had a concern and needed to address it before she left. She wanted to talk to the doctor about her health. She took a turn and went back to the reception.


“I need to talk to Nurse, Angela,” she told the receptionist. She was friendly and kind enough to direct her to her office.


“Hey, sorry I was just leaving and I remembered you asked me to see you.” She said and then waited patiently for her to get her the supplements. She didn't explain too much but she knew the nurse was aware that her bloo
