Nathaniel wasn't the type to let himself be embarrassed in public without pushing back. With a half-smirk, he stared straight at Fraser.
"Mr. Branwell, don't you think that's a bit much? It's just three drinks. Besides, you and Miss Hawkins aren't together anymore. What gives you the right to pull her away? Your plus-one's still waiting for you."
He casually pointed toward Lydia, who was already on the verge of tears, her bouquet crushed beyond recognition in her hands.
Fraser never had patience for people he didn't like. Usually, he wouldn't even bother with a reply.
He didn't even glance at Nathaniel. Instead, he leaned over and asked Bellamy in a low voice, "The wedding's pretty much wrapped up. It's getting dull. Wanna leave now?"
