Chapter 6 Divorce? Dream On!

Zayn Guggenheim stopped in his tracks and was seemingly amazed that this woman who had always been obsessed with him would actually propose a divorce. "The Juhls raised me for so many years. I can't be the reason for their destruction. "I know you've always hated me for ruining your relationship with Jenny Lenig, and you took it out on my family. I sincerely apologize to you for this. "Since you feel that marrying me is torture, let's get a divorce. I'll let you go and you can let the Juhls go. From now on, we won’t have anything to do with each other. What do you think?" Lindsey Juhl finished her monologue in one breath, lowered her head, and quietly waited for Zayn to give her the final verdict. She had loved him for 20 years. Back then, Zayn was living at the orphanage where they met in order to avoid his family’s power struggle. Both of them then made a vow hand in hand when they were young. Later, Lindsey was adopted by the Juhls and was elated when she learned that the person she was going to marry was Zayn. She could not sleep for several days because of it. However, when they met again, he did not recognize her at all. Now was the time to end this 20-year-long unrequited love. "Lindsey Juhl, you seem to have forgotten what I said yesterday." Zayn sneered and slowly walked from the stairs to stand beside her. He then reached out and lifted her small and delicate chin. It was an affectionate move, but Zayn's eyes only exuded mockery and hatred. "I told you that I won't let you off easily. Because of you, Jenny nearly died from depression in the first place. It was also you who forced her to leave the country alone! What right do you have now to ask me to let you go?!" He applied more pressure to his hand that was holding her chin that it twitched, then added, "Lindsey Juhl, you wanted to get married when I didn't want to, and now you want a divorce? Dream on!" "I'm sorry about Jenny Lenig, but at that time, I didn’t know she existed. Otherwise, I..." "That's enough! Are you even fit to mention her name?" Lindsey panicked and shook her head. Tears instantly fell as she pleaded, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause any harm to her...you can vent all your anger on me instead...I beg you, please don’t implicate the Juhls..." "Vent my anger?" Zayn's gaze darkened slightly as he looked at the teary-eyed face in front of him. Seeing that Zayn's face was getting colder, Lindsey quivered and asked, "What do I have to do for you to spare the Juhls?" "What do you have to do?" Lindsey froze as the hand that was holding her chin loosened. "What?" "What? Don't you understand? As my lawfully wedded wife, what should you do?" Lindsey's face instantly flushed red. "I...I don't know..." "You don't know? I'll teach you..." Zayn looked at her expectantly.
