Chapter 6 All Because of Love

I pulled out a mirror and applied lipstick before walking out. As soon as I saw Nancy, I had to admit that she was looking more and more tacky. The pale pink dress she wore didn't suit her complexion at all. I stood on the steps and glanced down at her. "Surely it doesn't feel great to be detained, right? Yvonne made a scene and still hasn't been released." Nancy's sobs instantly ceased, and her eyes were filled with fear. I turned my gaze to the frail, bony old woman beside her. "You crippled your husband when you were younger, killed him when you got older, and now, you're framing your ex-daughter-in-law," I said.
