"Alright," Cassandra didn't ask more and got into the car.
The vehicle moved smoothly and soon stopped in front of a riverside restaurant. Cassandra was surprised. This was the Riverwatch, a well-known restaurant in the northern part of the city.
Victoria had recommended it before, but it was a bit far from where they lived, so she never got the chance to visit. Judging by the packed parking lot, the place was popular and notoriously difficult to get a table at.
However, the restaurant was owned by Ethan, Tristan's childhood friend. So, with one phone call, they secured a reservation in one of the best private rooms with a perfect view of the river.
The restaurant sat along the city's moat and had a classical interior design. As Cassandra entered and took in the expansive view of the river, she couldn't help but sigh in admiration.
