Lorraine had nothing to say to Ambrose and turned to leave, but he abruptly grabbed her wrist. "Do you think you can walk away just like that?" he angrily snapped. "What else do you expect me to do? She threw herself into the traffic trying to stage an accident, and I called her an ambulance, which was way more than she deserved!" Lorraine was utterly exasperated. On the way to the hospital, the driver had reviewed his dashcam footage, which had clearly captured the entire incident. Roxanne probably never expected her little stunt to backfire and be recorded. Ambrose refused to believe a word Lorraine said. "Ha! That excuse is ridiculous! Roxanne isn't an idiot. Why would she hurt herself for no reason?" Just then, the doors to the emergency room swung open. Lorraine jutted her chin toward them and said, "There, your idiot is getting wheeled out now. If she's got something wrong with her brain, get her treated. "The driver filed a traffic report, and his dashcam recorded every
