Chapter 1756 Without You by My Side
Tamara suddenly wanted to turn back.
But when she thought about her decision, she clenched her teeth and drove to Skarrowlilt Grove.
The car traveled down a road that felt incredibly familiar to her, as if she had walked this path countless times before. Even the trees on both sides of the road were familiar to her.
This was newly built. Yet, in her dreams, this place had held countless memories throughout the years.
Ten minutes later, the car stopped in front of a black gate.
Tamara sat in the car and observed the courtyard. It was as if something had clicked in her brain, and the memories she had forgotten began to resurface, becoming more vivid by the second.
This villa's courtyard seemed to be a key to her memory. Seeing the familiar scenes brought back the pain no matter how much she resisted.
Tamara's brows furrowed, and she pushed open the car door after parking.
She stood before the large gate, staring at the scenery inside the courtyard. Looking at the code panel, she hesitated for a long time before entering the code.
It was her birthday.
A deep rumble sounded, and the gate slowly opened. She entered the manor.
Every nook and cranny inside felt familiar, and she knew without looking that a white swing was at the end of the path to her left. And on the swing, there was a pink pillow that she liked.
Tamara pursed her lips.
She stepped into the manor and, upon seeing the middle-aged woman approaching her, she suddenly felt dazed.
Ms. Thompson wore a bright smile on her face. "Are you Ms. Simmons? Young Mr. Lynch has been waiting for you in the living room. Please come with me."
With that, Ms. Thompson took out a pair of slippers for Tamara.
Tamara stared blankly at Ms. Thompson for a long time.
Seeing her hesitation, Ms. Thompson asked with confusion, "Is something wrong, Ms. Simmons?"
"Nothing," Tamara replied in a daze. She averted her gaze to hide the roaring emotions in her eyes and changed into the slippers before going into the living room.
When she first arrived here, she only felt a sense of familiarity, and the scenes from her dreams continued to flash in her mind. However, when she saw Ms. Thompson, an indescribable emotion flooded her chest.
The memories and images became even clearer. And it wasn't just emotions. It felt like they were truly merging with her.
She was immersed in the dream, and she even believed that those were experiences from her past.
It was a terrifying feeling!
Tamara shivered with fear, and her expression turned cold as she walked inside the manor.
She resisted instinctively, pushing back against her overwhelming curiosity for the version of her in the dream. She found herself in a state of self-contradiction.
Sebastian sat on the couch, wearing a light-colored casual outfit that softened his typically cold demeanor. It added a hint of elegance and warmth to him.
His eyes fixed on her, and he smiled faintly. It was as if he was sure she would come.
Tamara approached him and furrowed her brows. "Why did you choose this place?"
Sebastian stood up, his tall figure instantly enveloping her petite one, and reached to take her wrist. "Don't you miss this place?"
Tamara struggled unconsciously but failed to break free. He held her wrist tightly and refused to let go.
"Ever since I started having these dreams, I've come here. Every time I wake up, it feels like everything is worlds apart. I would reach out to touch the empty space beside me, but you're not there," Sebastian spoke in a low and slow tone.
Every word he uttered struck Tamara's heart, leaving her trembling. She stared at him in disbelief.
