Chapter 1129
The sun was bright, and it cast a long shadow on Xavier as he walked. He moved quickly, dragging an almost-empty suitcase behind him.
When he reached the cruise ship entrance, he was stopped.
"You still have seven days left on your upgraded suite reservation."
"There's something I need to take care of back home," Xavier explained in a deep voice. "I'll still pay in full."
His eyes were sharp and dark, unreadable in their depth.
The staff member checking the documents shivered inexplicably and decided to let him go without further questions.
Xavier boarded the cruise ship and found a seat by the window. He then took out his phone, and after restarting it, it finally picked up a weak signal.
