Hayden, being the first one to notice Xavier, froze on the spot.
Lily followed his line of sight before her eyes locked with Xavier's somber gaze. His eyes were as dark as the abyss as he stared at her. He looked like he wanted to swallow her whole.
Lily wasn't moved by his charged gaze. She broke eye contact in the next second and looked at Terence. "Let's go."
"Alright." Terence smiled at Hayden before saying, "Don't worry, I'll take good care of her. We'll be counting on you for the next couple of days. I'll send someone to deliver dinner later."
"Okay," Hayden replied, though he couldn't shake off his uneasiness.
He couldn't understand how Lily and Terence were able to show off their affection right in front of Xavier so calmly.
