  It must have been 2 hours or maybe 3 hours since Melanie sat at the roadside in the rain she didn't know which as she had lost track of time. The heavy rain turned into drizzle and into nothing at all but she sat,still. Her former unseeing eyes beginning to take in the neighbourhood she was in. It was getting late but she did mind.
