Chapter 7 Chapter 6

After spending what looked like hours on the bed when it was actually just 40 minutes Melanie finally stood up from the bed. She stretched and picked up her phone, dialing her boyfriend's number. She didn't get any response so she took her car keys and sauntered downstairs, she suspected what was going on but just shrugged and moved past her two step sisters lounging on the couch, Taylor and Evangeline. They didn't acknowledge her presence probably just ignoring her or were too carried away on their cell phones. Not that she minded. Melanie rushed past them in a small jog, entering her garage and driving out her Aston Martin, she headed to Bryan's house. They both share the house even though she pays for it. Melanie uses that house as her safe haven anytime she escapes her Father's house and Bryan uses it for his own shitty purpose. Bryan is Melanie's boyfriend and they have been dating for 3years now though their relationship cannot be referred to as normal. She packed her car at the front of her house and entered the small apartment heading straight for Bryan's room. "Bryan?." She called out while passing the kitchen, hoping that he was there but he obviously wasn't. She then moved straight to his room. She didn't bother knocking and barged in. "Not again." She groaned. Her boyfriend was stark naked and his private was buried deep into someone who was laying on her front with her knees propped up on the bed. At the unwanted sound, Bryan look back and saw Melanie. "Shit." He exclaimed and jumped back. He tried to move closer to Melanie but she stopped him. "It's not what you think, Mel." He began. "Yeah, I'm sure it's not." She said, rolling her eyes. "She came to sympathise with me for your.....diseases?." "Uhm..I'm sure that is it." "Mel.." "Can you shut the fuck up? This is like the third time I'm you seeing you in this position and will you please cover that thing, it's distracting." She said pointing at his privates. Thinking it was a compliment, Bryan smirked and Melanie noticed. "Who has a inch 4 dick at 25?." Melanie said with a disgusted expression. "Hey, it's not a inch 4." He defended. For someone who has only his dick going for him,he was hurt that someone would insult it. "We both know it is and is that Kendra?" On hearing her name, Kendra burrowed close to the cover in an attempt to cover her face. Melanie snorted. "And to think I was waiting for the both of you to come pick me." She started outside and intentionally left the door open. One thing was sure. She didn't care. That was Melanie's life, getting drunk, smoking till her lungs couldn't take any more, flirting with random guys and getting laid, having many friends but so lonely, hated by family, loathed by strangers who thought her rude and reckless. This is a summary of her life since five years ago when her mother was taken from her. She entered the kitchen, went to the fridge, took out a soda drink and gulped it down in a minute. She then dumped the can on the floor carelessly and sat over the counter. Staring at a particular spot on the floor without seeing or thinking and was startled when a noise erupted from where she sat. She looked down to her ringing phone and removed it from her sweat pants pocket. "What do you want?." She grumbled at the person at the other line. "Good afternoon to you too, darling." Tiffany drawled and it irritated Melanie more than it should. "Fuck off." She was about to cut the call but was stopped by Tiff's desperate voice. "Wait Mel, i know you're not in your best mood but I really need you to be here."Why?." Melanie asked, irritation dancing in her tone. "I-well-." She then took a deep breath before continuing. "I need you here at Loner's.." "But isn't the weekly party on Fridays? Today's Sunday you know right?." Melanie cut in. "Yeah, I know but Kevin organised one today and I really need you to come, you know how he can be when he's drunk and you're the only one he listens to when drunk." Tiff explained. Melanie sighed. Kevin was her mother's brother and his sister's death ruined him more than anything could. Ever since Adele died he has never been the same. Always getting drunk and if anyone tried to stop him he'd end up beating the poor soul. Even his wife, Tiffany couldn't stop him. Only Melanie could, because they both shared the sorrow. "Fine." She muttered and cut the line before tiff started on how grateful she was. She jumped down from the counter and went into her own room in the house. She changed into a black shorts and paired it with a black tee shirt. That wasn't the proper dress for a party but she didn't care. A man in white shirt rolled up to his arm and white slacks bumped into her, she shoved him hard away from her and cursed. "Watch where you're going, loser." She bit. "Oops, sorry. Didn't see you there." The man apologized. He was gorgeous, with brown warm eyes that looked amused to his dirty blonde hair falling over his ears. He had the boy next door look and he looked probably a year or two older than her. With his arm around her shoulder to steady her that gave out his gentlemanly nature and boyish charm that obviously had all women falling at his feet she was impressed. Instead of being drawn to him by his looks she was drawn to him by the warmth he provided. She felt the need to be friends and only friends with him. It was disturbing, the way she felt....as if she was friends with him, as if she has known him all her life. She distanced herself from him, shrugging his arm from her body to create distance and this was noticed by the man who sighed. "Hey, I'm so sorry. I really am, I did not see you coming you--". "it's fine." She cut him off sharply which shocked the man. It was obvious the man wasn't used to being cut off but he didn't show it. "OK then,...can I know your name at least." He asked hopefully. "No." Again he looked amused but he smiled. "OK then, bye miss." But she was already barrelling down towards a man with alcohol on his hands and a girl on his laps. "Get off him." She commanded the girl with an auburn she recognized as Mabel. The Loner's club was her uncle's club and this was where she spent most of her time, drinking and smoking and partying away without one care in the world. So she easily recognised the most easiest slut in the club sitting on her uncle's lap. Mabel threw her a dirty look and snuggled into Kevin, hoping he'd save her from his niece's wrath but he only repeated her order. "You heard her. Get off me." He commanded with enough force to send Mabel away from him and in the opposite direction within seconds. Melanie fixed her uncle with a glare. "What the hell were you doing with the slut? Don't you have any shame? You have a wife for god sake." "Aye, calm down sweetheart. She was just sitting on my thighs nothing much." "Why couldn't she sit on the couch? Why did it have to be your thighs?." "Uhm--well it was more comfortable than the couch so..." "Suck it up uncle, I'm going to tell you this for the thousandth time, Tiff doesn't deserve all this. She has been a loyal wife to you and this is what you repay her with?." His eyes sparkled with the amount of anger in him on hearing Tiff's name. "That's what this is all about eh? Tiff called you?." "No, she didn't." She defended but it was too late he was already on his feet and stalking down to where his wife sat chatting with friends, totally oblivious to what's coming to her. Melanie rushed forward to catch her uncle before he did something she'd regret but stopped short when her eyes caught on something. At the opposite side of where her uncle sat before Mabel was smooching a man. She looked up and the whole world stooped. At the sight of the beauty she gasped for breath. He was beautifully handsome with his midnight black hair and ice blue eyes that she had never seen before but looked familiar. He was wearing a light blue shirt the same colour with his eyes, rolled to his arms and black trousers, he was lean and had the posture of a swimmer but she knew he was fit with his muscle packed arms. She found herself wondering what it would feel like to have his arms around her and even when she knew she had never seen him before it felt like she had. The man she saw earlier was gorgeous but he couldn't compete with this natural beauty made with the most precious stones. She found herself slowly moving towards him unconsciously and the only thing that brought her back from the spell the man cast around her was the wail of someone she knew. Tiff's wail. She turned and hurried off towards where her uncle was delivering merciless blows to Tiff's head. A loud sound snapped his head up from the woman trying to catch his attention by smooching against him. In the corner of his eyes he caught a blonde figure retreating and he could have sworn he saw Mara. While the woman in front of him was busy smooching him he felt someone's presence but was too occupied to look up but when he did the only he caught was the blonde hair of a petite woman in black. He tried to keep the thoughts away from the blonde woman and focus on the pleasure the woman with auburn hair was giving him. She told him her name at one point but he forgot it the moment it left her mouth. He found himself looking around for the blonde woman and he got really irritated that he shoved the woman away from him and got up from the bar. He motioned to his blonde friend. "Let's go home.". "Come on, the party just began." Asher whined but seeing the serious look on his friend's face he reconsidered. "Yeah, let's go. It is getting pretty boring anyways." He said and led his friend away from the club.
