Chapter 104
Suzanne walked in with the lunchbox in hand. Gabriel simply closed the door behind her and turned back toward the elevator.
Austin thought it was Gabriel and didn't bother looking up as he instructed, "Bring me the Eastside—"
He stopped mid-sentence when he glanced up and saw Suzanne walking in. His hand holding the document hung in mid-air for a moment, and a hint of surprise flickered in his eyes. Then, he asked gently, "What brings you here?"
The next moment, his eyes landed on the lunchbox that Suzanne was holding, and a hint of warmth appeared in his eyes.
Suzanne smiled lightly as she placed the lunchbox on his desk. She said softly, "I thought I should bring you some food. Why don't you eat first before getting back to work?"
She glanced around Austin's office and noted that the decor was remarkably like him—cold, austere, and almost overly serious.
