Chapter 1073
Roxanne's body fell backward, and her hand instinctively reached for the coffee table to support herself. It looked like her hand would knock over the dishes on the table.
But Austin immediately stepped forward and swiftly grabbed the containers of food off the table. He moved so fast that even Suzanne only caught a blur of his silhouette.
The next moment, Roxanne fell hard to the ground, her hand still on the coffee table.
Alongside the sound of a bone fracture came Roxanne's cry of pain.
Roxanne felt her vision turn dark. The sharp pain in her body jolted through her nerves like an electric shock. But at that moment, her heart was filled with nothing but hatred.
She lay on the ground in a twisted position, glaring at Austin, who had taken away the food. She complained unhappily, "Mr. Hall, we're childhood friends who grew up together. Couldn't you have shown a little compassion and helped me?"
If he had just helped her, or at least left the food alone, she wouldn't have fallen
