Chapter 30
Broderick hung up the phone.
Leslie was just waiting.
Soon, Sienna's homeroom teacher personally walked in with a smile. "Oh, Miss Green, right? No worries, we can handle the paperwork tomorrow. For now, you can just take Sienna home."
Sienna looked like she wanted to head back to the dorms and pack up, but Leslie waved it off.
"Don't worry about it, we've got everything at home. I'll send someone to pick up your stuff tomorrow."
"Okay."
Sienna grabbed her backpack and got into the backseat with Leslie.
Wayne was driving, and the car was quiet.
Sienna was way too obedient and quiet for her age.
Leslie wasn't really used to dealing with kids. Sure, Sienna was 15, but in Leslie's eyes, she was still just a kid.
Then again, Leslie herself was only 20 - not that far off, really - just that people tended to treat her like an adult anyway.
City lights streamed in through the car windows, flashing here and there.
Leslie stared out at the city, her eyes filled with a somehow greedy fondness.
