Chapter 35
Leslie was wearing his white shirt.
Her cheeks were still pink, and her long, slender legs carried a soft blush too, probably from the hot shower.
She looked a little shy, clearly not expecting Broderick to walk in like that.
Broderick's Adam's apple moved slightly up and down.
He once heard some guys joke about how women look their best - fresh out of the shower, wrapped in a man's shirt.
That shirt on Leslie was obviously a bit too big for her.
The collar hung loose, revealing the elegant line of her collarbone.
Snapping out of it, Broderick's face darkened instantly.
"Your room isn't here," he said, voice low and oppressive, carrying a strong air of warning.
In her past life, Leslie would've been scared stiff each time Broderick put on that look - distant, cold, untouchable.
But now, she wasn't scared at all.
She knew now - he did care about her.
When he started falling for her back then, she had no clue.
But in this life, whether he loved her yet or not, she wasn't going to let go.
