Mr. Langdon was sketching too. When he heard the noise, he tapped on his easel lightly. "What's all the fuss about? Focus on your drawings, alright? Don't lose your minds just because a pretty girl walked in."
Leslie dragged over an easel and asked, "Mr. Langdon, what's today's theme?"
Now that she had a second chance at life, she was determined to clean up her reputation. She didn't want Broderick to be embarrassed because of her. She could handle people's gossip, but imagining Broderick being mocked for having a wife like her-it stung.
Mr. Langdon gave her a surprised look. "Today's theme is 'Heart.'"
Such a broad theme.
Someone nearby whispered, "Heart? Leslie probably doesn't have one. What's she gonna draw?"
Leslie just gave a small nod, showing she got it.
She hadn't brought any supplies of her own and borrowed Olivia's instead.
