Suddenly, Charles moved in close, his tall frame looming over me. "I…" I tried to speak, but my voice was stuck in my throat. Right then, Lilith delivered another harsh blow. "Oh, Charles, I almost forgot. She had hymen repair surgery! She wasn't even a virgin! Has she been lying to you? Telling you you were her first?" Lilith seemed pleased as she waved some hospital documents, trying to make Charles read them. "Get out!" Charles snapped, fury burning in his eyes as he shot her a cold glare. Lilith got scared and stepped back. Then, she turned to me with a gloating look. "Shayla, you're a liar! You're disgusting!" Charles asked in a low voice, "You weren't a virgin when we got together?" I said nothing. I couldn't deny the fact. The next moment, he suddenly gripped my throat, hands trembling yet holding back. "Shay, tell me this is all a lie!" "It's not a lie. It's true." I closed my eyes, and my tears fell against his hand. Deep inside, I was already looking for a way out.
