"What good will your promise do?" Perseus shook his head nonchalantly. "I want actions. Naturally, I will send someone to monitor you. If someone quietly chops your head off someday, don't come complaining to me.
"I've given you a chance."
Mary fell silent. Perseus' indifference sent chills down her spine, and his dark eyes were void of emotion.
"You better remember what's good for you." He waved and signaled for her to leave.
After she bowed deeply to him, she left without another word. Shortly after, Liam came in.
"Send your men to monitor Mary. She's anything but decent. I'm taking a flight back to Xancent tomorrow. Take it easy around this part. Don't do anything rash." Perseus said as he handed Liam a cigarette.
The way he saw it, setting up nightclubs wasn't a reliable line of business. It was good for making quick bucks, but Liam would be walking a tightrope. No one knew when it could collapse and backfire.
