Logan took a deep breath before forcing himself to remain patient and spoke softly. "Vivi, stop being angry. Open the door."
Vivian didn't respond.
He continued coaxing her gently, but the room remained silent.
After a few minutes, Logan's patience ran out. "Aren't you worried I'll wake Eleanor?"
Finally, a voice came from behind the door.
"Then, wake her."
She actually hoped Eleanor would be woken up by his noise.
Logan was frustrated but didn't dare raise his voice. Though Eleanor seemed fond of him, she would never take his side. Even if he woke her, she'd only scold him for upsetting her precious granddaughter.
