Vivian had just washed away the day and lay down in the bedroom when the knocking started again. "Vivian, the living room is cold. Can you let me come into the bedroom and sleep with you?" Logan's voice carried hope for reconciliation. He wished that Vivian would relent and let him into the room. "I'm still sick." He refused to believe she could be so cold-hearted as to ignore him when he was ill. The next second, he heard a cool, emotionless voice from inside the room. There wasn't the slightest trace of gentleness, only seriousness and resolve. "My grandmother hated the idea of unmarried couples staying together in someone else's home while she was alive. We haven't even registered our marriage yet, and we haven't held the wedding either. Are you sure you want to make her angry?"
