A long arm shot out, stopping her from slumping over.
"Tessa Howard, I know you're not drunk—cut the act."
Julian's patience had clearly hit its limit.
Tessa opened her eyes—they were clear as day. She looked at him with a mix of hurt and bitterness. "Does it really have to be like this?"
Julian snapped, "That's what I should be asking you. Either sit properly or get the hell out."
