Joshua froze for a moment as he looked at the letter in the deliveryman's hand. He couldn't remember expecting any mail. He took it without thinking and tossed it to Ophelia. "It's probably junk. Just throw it away." Without another word, he hurried toward the military district. As soon as he arrived, a soldier approached him. "Commander Lowe, the man you captured earlier keeps demanding to see Ms. Lowe. How do you want us to handle it?" Joshua's face hardened as the man's earlier words resurfaced. "Bring him in. I haven't finished questioning him yet." The man was brought in quickly, and the moment he saw Joshua, he started yelling, demanding to see Melissa. "You can't just lock me up! Melissa was the one who told us to kidnap her. How can you justify holding us?" Joshua's eyes turned icy. He kicked the man hard in the face. "What are you talking about?" He suddenly remembered the cold, despairing look in Lexi's eyes when she had been thrown into the basement. It weighed on hi
