By the time Melissa walked out of the police station, night had already fallen. She barely stepped through the doors when she saw Joshua standing by the car with his back to her. She ran toward him, smiling. "Joshua, I knew you wouldn't just leave me there. You'd come get me and bring me home." Her hand barely brushed the edge of his coat before a bodyguard pressed her hand down. Joshua slowly turned, his gaze cold and sharp. "I didn't bail you out to be nice.
