Kylie lowered her gaze, her long, thick lashes fluttering slightly. "No matter what, we're still husband and wife. I couldn't just stand by and do nothing."
"Is that so?" Teresa replied, drawing out her words with a knowing tone.
"Of course!" Kylie shot her a look. "Alright, let's get going! If we don't hurry, our favorite carbonara will be sold out." She grabbed Teresa's hand and rushed ahead.
After enjoying their pasta, the two strolled through the streets, snacking as they wandered.
Suddenly, Teresa seemed to remember something. "I wonder if that churro stall is still around. Every time I came to see you at school, you'd buy me one."
"Let's go check it out," Kylie said with a smile, and the two headed toward where the stall used to be. "It's been years. I'm not sure if it's still in the same spot."
