"Fawwaz can you drop us at Zara's bakery" Amir started after a moment of silence was maintained. Zara's eyes snapped to him

"Aren't you going back to the office direct?" she asked. Amir strokes the back of his head. "I want to eat at the bakery first before going back" he stated calmly. Zara watched him with a curious look. It seems like something is up with Amir seeing how his expression changed from playful to serious.

"Alright then. What of you Fawwaz I know your mind is on your unfinished work back at the office" she asked him as she fished her phone out of the bag, switching on her mobile data while she checks on some few messages.

"Actually, I'm starving too, we'll eat then go back to our respective places" Amir nodded flashing Fawwaz a smile. Zara's eye dart to the two. Her two cousins can be something else.

"But don't blame me when your father

"Excuse me, where are we going?" Fawwaz asked when they're out of the building. Zara turned around with a glint of a smile on her face. "To cheer you up" she stated. Fawwaz took a step then stopped.

"Zara you know I have to go back to the office, I don't-" he couldn't complete his statement when Zara show a puppy face.

"Please I just want us to spend time together" she muttered.

"What did you say?" He asked when he couldn't comprehend what she said. Zara mentally scolds herself realizing what she just blurted out.

"No I was just saying we should get going," she said nonchalantly.

"Zara you-"

"Please" she pleaded. She doesn't know why she's pleading but she has this urge to cheer him up. He shouldn't be thinking about work every time, he should at least enjoy himself.

"Do you mind having a late-night talk" he began. For some unknown reason, Zara finds herself smiling.

"Okay lead the way" she ushered. Leaving the kitchen, they made their way towards the balcony. Her mind wandered to his conversation with Minal she wonders what they talked about.

"So..." she started as they sat beside each other leaving enough space between them. "What do you want us to talk about?" she added. Fawwaz stared in thinking.

"We can talk about anything as far as it'll get my mind off things" he stated. Zara brows knitted in question.

"Things like what?"

"You know I left office without completing my work, so I was kind of feeling restless" he answered slowly. She likes how calm and serious Fawwaz is with things. All this while he's thinking about the office. What a serious man.

"Ma has already informed uncle Khalid, I know he'll take care of it so don't worry," Zara sai
