Luci met Mel in the living room, waiting for her. Her arms were folded under her breasts and she raised a questioning eyebrow at Luci.

" Gone to threaten him, huh? "

Luci scratched her hair a little, looking for a way to explain that wouldn't make Mel plucked out her eyes.

" Uh... We just had some friendly discussion, that's all "

Mel sneered, " Friendly? I know you, Luci. Brent was lucky if you didn't pluck his eyes out " and she rolled her eyes.

" Come on Mel, you know I would never do that " Luci pouted.

" Yeah sure " Mel replied sarcastically and started walking towards her bedroom.

" Hey! Hey! Wait! " Luci ran after her.

Mel looked back with a questioning gaze " What is it this time? "

Luci gave her a lopsided smile " Oh nothing at all. It's just about the dinner party tomorrow... " Her voice trailed off as she noticed Mel's glare.

" I guess it's Brent! " Luci shouted " I can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees you! " Her eyes were shining.

" Go ahead and open the door! " She pushed Mel towards the door and Mel slapped her hands away, groaning.

" Get your hands off me, witch " Mel threw her a glare but Luci ignored her and laughed, shooing her away.

Mel went downstairs and paused at the door. She straightened her gown and sighed, " Let's do this " she whispered to herself.

She opened the door and Brent came in " Hello Luci. I must say you look absolutely stunning. Where is Mel? " And he searched the living room, looking for her. Mel smiled to herself and decided to save him the trouble.

" Hi Brent. How are you? "

Brent went still for a moment, he would recognize her voice anywhere. He looked over to the lady behind him and whispered " Mel.... Melody?? "

" Thank goodness you recognize my voice at 

Mel laughed a little " 'Talk' is a mild word, you'll practically threaten her if it turns out that she doesn't want me to leave work early or am I wrong? "

Brent scratched the back of his head and said in a small voice, " I may not "

Mel laughed harder, " It's fine Mister, I'll rather talk to her myself "

" It's settled then. I'll send my driver over to bring you some new dresses which you may like " Brent started

Mel's eyebrow went up in question, " What for? "

" No offense, just wanna show my gratitude... " His voice trailed off, not knowing what else to say.

" None taken but I have some new dresses that I haven't even worn for years " She lied, she knew. She just didn't want to accept a gift from him.
