“I like it here. It’s quiet, and the view is good,” I said calmly.
I stood up and looked at Olivia.
She had no idea that I paid three times the original price just to get this place from the owner.
“Noah.”
She called my name, her voice low and tense, as if she was holding something back.
“We already ended things three years ago.”
She said it without hesitation.
I looked at her but did not respond.
A brief silence passed between us before she finally reached for the door and walked out.
I did not go after her, nor did I try to stop her. I simply stood there and watched as she left my house.
The door closed, and the silence that followed lingered longer than it should have.
