Chapter 41
The next morning, Sara got up early. Not long after, the kids stirred as well. Perhaps it was because they were in a new place, but they had been unusually excited since the day before.
After washing up, the trio headed downstairs. Grace had already prepared a hearty local breakfast for them.
"You're up so early! Come have breakfast," she told them warmly. "Andrew went to visit your grandaunt last night and missed you all. When I told him you were back, he left for town early this morning to buy groceries. He said he wants to cook something special for you tonight."
"Thank you, Grace, but you don't have to go to all that trouble for us. You already have your hands full. Don't worry about us. I'll bring the children out later to visit my childhood home and Grandpa's grave," Sara replied, noticing more and more people entering the bed-and-breakfast.
It seemed like they were guests coming to stay, so she quickly encouraged Grace to attend to her work.
"Alright, then." Grace nodded.
