Chapter 76
The men in black parted, forming a path. At the end of it, Spencer appeared. The top two buttons of his shirt were undone, giving him a slightly disheveled look.
When Sara saw Spencer, only two words flashed through her mind—"It's over!"
He stood there, tall and striking. Sunlight spilled through the airport's massive floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a glow over his face. His dark eyes looked slightly red, and his lips were pressed together with visible restraint.
Spencer looked at the three people huddled together ahead of him. Sara bit her lower lip, defiant yet vulnerable, both arms wrapped protectively around the two children hiding behind her.
