Even coming to the old mansion to get his ID card to get married had become Parker's responsibility.
If it weren't for that unexpected child, would he have married Edith so quickly?
Parker didn't know.
After the divorce, he even felt that the time spent on the church was more comfortable.
Spending too much time with Edith had made him feel annoyed.
Parker and Edith walked side by side on the path, unconsciously creating a distance between them.
While Parker went to talk to Mr. Greene alone, Edith blocked Cornelia’s path.
“Sister, can we talk alone?”
Cornelia looked Edith up and down, her eyes filled with suspicion.
What could Edith possibly want to talk to her about? It was likely just another scheme to harm her.
Cornelia was all too familiar with Edith’s underhanded tactics.
She gave Murphy a reassuring glance before following Edith to a corner.
“What do you want to talk about?”
Cornelia noticed a small red light in the corner and felt slightly relieved.
