"Ms. Hawthorne, how are you so confident?" Nancy asked.
Sandra smiled. "You should know better."
Nancy's phone suddenly rang. She picked it up, and the person from the other end of the phone asked, "Is this Ms. Moore?"
"Yes," she replied. "May I know who's on the line?"
"I'm from Riley Capital. We've heard about your situation and believe it aligns perfectly with our investment goals. Would you be open to a discussion?"
Nancy did a double-take. Riley Capital was one of the top venture capital firms in Boraska, and almost every project they invested in turned a profit.
"Of course, but I'm not currently in the office. I'll call you back once I return," she said before hanging up.
Although she hadn't put the call on speaker, Sandra was close enough to hear the conversation.
Her face fell slightly. She found it hard to believe that Riley Capital actually took the initiative to reach out to Nancy first.
Even as a Hawthorne herself, she didn't get such special treatment.
