Chapter 15

There was another silence. Leo looked at her tightness, looked away disgustedly, and walked into the kitchen. Tara couldn’t leave him alone. After all, she just saw him got angry last night. She doesn't have the guts to seem him like that again. She's wrapped in pajamas while sitting on the sofa in the living room. The sun was shining and it pass through the thin white window screens. It was warm. Not long after, a human scent suddenly floated in the quiet air. After waking up, Tara hadn't eaten anything. She looked up at the kitchen and saw that Leo was carrying a delicate white casserole on the dining table, "Come and eat." Tara blinked and walked over quickly, looking at the excellent vegetable porridge and side dishes on the table, "Did you make this for me?" Leo raised his eyelids slightly, put down two porcelain bowls, "I'm hungry." It means that he just made it for himself. Tara curled her mouth, washed her hands, sat down and didn't care as long as she has something to eat. The porridge tastes very good. Although it is light, it still has a slight smell. It is accompanied by sweet and sour and delicious side dishes. It is a treat for her empty stomach. Leo consumed a small bowl and didn't eat more. Tara glanced at it secretly and said that he made it for himself, but she thought that maybe he was not hungry at all. For a while, she was in bed, forced and almost tortured her to death. But now, he cooked porridge for her. Is this person... schizophrenic? However, thinking about his concern, Tara still asked, "Do you know how to cook?" "Yeah.", Leo sat on the main seat, and a single tone came out from his mouth. "Aren't super wealthy people like you hire chefs or babysitters? It's rare that you still have these skills..." "I don't like strangers at home." Tara paused with the spoon's hand and looked at him, "Isn't having a maid normal?" When she and Zion first got married, she couldn't do everything in order at home. There was also an aunt to assist her, and she occasionally beat her hands. After asking, Tara actually saw a trace of loneliness and pain in Leo's expression. Is he in pain? Tara was shocked. Would a big demon also be in pain? Tara looked at him carefully again and saw that this person was again a deep and unremarkable appearance as if it was just her dazzling illusion. Leo seemed to be stuck in a memory. He didn't answer, but changed the subject, "Send your resume to email tomorrow." Tara asked, "Why do you want that?" "It's a work requirement." "You mean you will help me find a job so soon!?", Tara quickly swallowed the porridge in her mouth. "Do they want my resume? But I have no work experience..." "If you have work experience, you don't need me to come forward." Leo's words broke, and Tara's face was a little embarrassed. After all, this was one of the 'requirements' at the beginning, and she was not so comfortable when she went through the back door. "That... is that work related to law?" Leo's eyes fell on her face, and the expectation in the woman's eyes made his plain heart also be moved, and suddenly he didn't want to tell her so easily, "You want to know?" Tara was curious and replied, "Hmm." "Sit here." With that, he pointed to his thigh. The arc of Tara's mouth froze, and she looked away, "I suddenly don't want to know, hehe..." The man's thin lips are slightly hooked. For him, this is the reaction he wants. Leo did not continue to persecute, but gave her a meaningful look before turning upstairs. After Tara finished eating, she searched for a resume template. After filling in carefully, she sent the video she recorded yesterday to Leo. Thinking about working, her gloomy mood for several days finally had a hint of joy, but this joy didn't last long and was interrupted by a phone call. It's her mother. Tara took the phone and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window. After a long sigh of relief, she picked it up with ease, "Hey mom, why do you suddenly look for me?" Unexpectedly, Yolanda on the other end of the phone was not half relaxed. Her voice was stern, "Tara, where are you now? Zion just told me that you have not been home for several days. What's the matter?" Tara didn't expect that Zion, a person who had cheated on her first, would even dare to tell it to her. She felt a chill in her heart and she was determined that he would not tell her about this. She has to say that even she's with Zion for so many years, she could still tell if she's not sincere. "Mom, it's okay, don't worry too much. We will take care of it ourselves." "Then what are you talking about?" Her mother didn't know the truth, but felt that Tara was hiding something. "Tara, it's normal to have quarrels between husbands and wives. Now you are not at home and don't reply to him, then how can make up with you? You’re not doing it right!" Tara listened to her mother's remarks. She didn't know the truth, so she can't blame her. However, she couldn't help but feel wronged, "Mom, leave it to us. It is better for you and dad to take good care of your health than anything else." "Go back now and don't hang around alone. You are a married person, if you let the family of your in-laws know about this, they will complain." Yolanda is bitter. Tara was even sadder. Every time a problem occurred, they would always consider the standpoint of each other, but the Twain family regarded their regression as weakness.
